After several years of activity centered on forums, the project seemed dormant. Forums had integrated direct image upload, gradually eliminating the initial need.

A close friend gets married. Another friend is the photographer. The perfect opportunity to test an idea that had been germinating for a long time: what if we relaunched the platform by refocusing it on its original idea? Bringing weddings to life through photos from both the photographer AND the guests?
The objective was clear:

- Centralize the photographer's high-definition images
- Offer an aesthetic, modern and intuitive gallery

Summer 2019 is dedicated to completely rethinking the interface. Gone are the rigid pages of 2010. Enter elegant modals, smooth transitions, intuitive interactions that match 2019 users' expectations.
The technical challenge was significant: how to create a modern visual experience while maintaining ease of use for all guests, regardless of their age or digital comfort level?
The real-world test: a successful wedding
On the big day, guests play along perfectly. They naturally upload behind-the-scenes photos, spontaneous moments, intimate instances that even the professional photographer couldn't capture.

It's at this precise moment that the project definitively changes direction. It will no longer be a forum tool, but a private event gallery platform.
This pivot marks the true birth of what will become MesGaleries.com, even though the name my-share.fr persists for a few more years. The experience of this wedding proves there's a real need: allowing all participants in an event to contribute to its collective memory.
