The collaborative photo gallery: your photos and your guests’ photos in one place

Your guests add their photos to the event gallery through a link or a QR code. You stay in control of what is shown. Included in every plan.

A wedding, a seminar, a race: you take photos, and dozens of guests take photos too. With mesgaleries.com, their photos join the event gallery, next to yours, in their original quality. You decide what is shown.

One gallery, every photo of the event

On the day, guests’ photos usually end up in messaging apps and on social networks: compressed, scattered, sometimes lost. The collaborative gallery gives them a home. Each guest adds their pictures directly to the event gallery, in the chapters you defined.

Your clients find your photos and their loved ones’ photos at a single address. Files are kept exactly as they were sent, without recompression, and can be downloaded if you allow it.

The same gallery can hold your videos and documents (contract, schedule) and display the timeline of the day. The whole event fits in one link.

How it works, in three steps

  1. Create the gallery and open it to guests. In the gallery settings, the “Guest uploads” option is switched on with one click. An access code, an invitation link and a QR code are ready right away.
  2. Invite. Send the link to the couple or the organizer, print the QR code on the menus, a table sign or the welcome screen. A guest who scans it creates a free account in a few moments, or signs in, and the gallery appears in their space. You are notified each time someone joins.
  3. Receive and sort. Photos arrive throughout the day, chapter by chapter. You review them from your account: hide, rotate or delete what does not belong, one picture at a time or with multiple selection.

Collection can start before your own photos are online. While your gallery is offline, guests see and add to their photos, then discover yours on the day you publish.

You stay in control

A gallery open to guests is still your gallery. You choose:

  • the display: guests’ photos mix with yours in a single gallery, or stay in a separate guest gallery reachable from yours;
  • the chapters: guests upload into the chapters you created and left visible (ceremony, cocktail hour, party), never anywhere else;
  • the visibility: you hide a photo in one click, delete it, or straighten the ones that arrive sideways;
  • the access: the gallery keeps its usual settings, private link, password, downloads allowed or not.

On the guests’ side, each person can only remove their own photos. When you close the collaboration, the link and the QR code stop working: nobody else joins the gallery, and the photos already uploaded are not deleted.

Which events is it for?

The collaborative gallery was born for weddings, and that is still where it helps most: while you photograph the couple, guests capture the backstage moments, the best man’s speech, the dinner tables. It works just as well elsewhere.

  • Seminars and corporate parties: attendees add their photos next to your coverage.
  • Associations and clubs: one gallery per season or outing, fed by the members.
  • Races and competitions: supporters complete your coverage along the course.
  • Birthdays, christenings, family gatherings: relatives gather their pictures in good quality, without a group chat.

The wedding photographer and event photographer pages detail what mesgaleries.com offers for these specialties.

Since 2010

The first collaborative gallery of mesgaleries.com was built in the summer of 2010, for a wedding. Guests had received cards bearing a QR code that led to the gallery of the day, and the photos ended up there without anyone having to ask for them. The platform has been entirely rewritten since, but that principle has not changed: a single gallery for the whole event. The story is told in the article How I created the first collaborative wedding photo gallery.

Frequently asked questions

Do guests need an account?

To view the gallery, no: access follows your usual settings, private link or password. To upload photos, yes. A guest who opens the link or scans the QR code creates a free account in a few moments, or signs in if they already have one, and the gallery appears in their space.

Is there a limit on the number of photos or guests?

No cap is set per guest or per gallery. The number of published galleries and the storage space of your account depend on your plan: details are on the Pricing page.

Who can see the guests’ photos?

Anyone who has access to the gallery, according to the settings you chose. You decide whether these photos mix with yours or stay in a separate guest gallery. A guest can only edit or remove their own photos; you alone act on the whole gallery.

Can guests upload videos?

No. Guests upload photos in JPG or PNG format. You can, however, add videos and documents to the gallery yourself, and they are displayed next to the photos.

Can I delete a photo uploaded by a guest?

Yes. From your account, each guest photo can be hidden, rotated or deleted, one at a time or with multiple selection. A hidden photo disappears from the gallery without being erased; a deleted photo is removed for good, after confirmation.

Is the collaborative gallery included in the Free plan?

Yes, in every plan, Free plan included, with the invitation link and the QR code. Plans differ in the number of published galleries, the storage space and the options added to the gallery.
